How The Power of Ten Project is expected to work:

1 school x $100 = $100
11 schools x $100 = $1,100
111 schools x $100 = $11,100

With just $100 per school raised, and only 111 schools involved, more than $11,000 is collected for UNICEF's Unite for Children. Unite against AIDS campaign.

Kenya Girl

In 1996 in Kenya, a girl holding an exercise book stands barefoot amidst pairs of muddy shoes, by the doorway of her classroom at the UNICEF-assisted Kibera Day Care Centre in Kibera, the largest shanty town in Nairobi, the capital.

Children must remove their shoes before entering the classroom. The center offers children basic education skills and also provides meals for children orphaned by AIDS.
